General

The Blogger themes are built for the Blogger/Blogspot platform.

The WordPress themes are built for a self-hosted WordPress.org website.

If you have a WordPress.com website, you’ll need a plan that allows third-party themes and plugins to be installed (Business or eCommerce).

The themes will not work with other platforms such as Squarespace, Tumblr, Shopify, Wix, etc.

First, you will receive an email with a link to download the theme files. You can also log in to your account and download the files.

Then you can head over to the documentation page and follow the instructions to install and set up the WordPress or Blogger theme you’ve purchased.

Blogger Themes

Installation and set up of a Blogger theme is free. Follow the steps here to send me an invite to your blog and for a list of the information I need.

WordPress Themes

Installation of a WordPress theme + plugins is free. Partial set up is included – header, navigation, homepage and sidebar. You will have to add content to the custom pages (About, Contact, etc) by yourself. You can fill out this form.

Timeline

As soon as I have the information I need and access to your website/blog, installation will take about 30-40 minutes from start to finish (it depends mostly on how much content there is to add).

Does installation include customization?

No. Theme customizations are not included.

Yes! Your site will look beautiful on any device. You can resize the browser or view the demo on your phone/tablet to see how it looks.

Yes. You can use the theme on as many websites/blogs as you like as long as you own them.

You can. Keeping it is not mandatory but it’s appreciated.

None of your posts, pages, media or comments will be deleted.

Blogger

If you have any important codes in widgets in the Layout page or in Theme > Edit HTML, you should save them so you can add them again later. Especially if they are in Edit HTML, because everything there will be replaced once a new theme is uploaded.

WordPress

If you have important codes in the Widgets page, save them just in case they get deleted. Check the Inactive Widgets area first at the bottom of the page.

WordPress

If you receive this error, you haven’t uploaded the correct files. If the file has _UNZIP at the end, this means you have to extract the files. Upload the parent theme first (example: guinevere.2.0.0.zip), then the child theme (example: guinevere-child.zip) and activate it.

Only if you have one of the plans that allow third-party themes and plugins to be uploaded – Business or eCommerce.

WordPress.org is a software that you install on your domain. You will need to purchase hosting and a domain. Personally, I would recommend Siteground*.

WordPress.com is a free platform with some limitations. You can create a free blog, but if you want to upload third-party themes or plugins, you’ll have to purchase one of the more expensive plans – Business or eCommerce.

If you’ve bought hosting from Siteground, DreamHost, Hostinger, etc, and installed WordPress from your hosting account, then your site is self-hosted.

5.6+

I recommend updating to the latest WordPress version before uploading the theme.

No. The custom pages have been built with blocks, so if you’re using the Classic Editor plugin, you’ll have to deactivate it.

No. The pages have been built with the Kadence Blocks plugin and they can’t be edited with another plugin.

You can use a different page builder, but this means you’ll have to design your own pages from scratch.

Support

You get lifetime support, even if the theme is no longer for sale.

Support includes: fixing theme bugs, answering questions about the theme or the platform you’re using (with some limitations).

Support does NOT include: theme customizations, additions of new widgets or sections, fixing theme issues as a result of you or a third-party editing the theme*.

* You are free to contact me for help, but please keep in mind in the case of a theme error as a result of you or a third-party editing the theme, my support will be limited and you may have to upload a fresh copy of the theme.

Yes! Go to the WordPress or Blogger support pages and click on the name of the theme you’ve purchased. The steps are in order, so make sure not to skip any articles.

Yes. I have tutorials for both WordPress and Blogger.

You can also find troubleshooting articles for WordPress and Blogger.

Sales

Yes. You only have to pay once.

Nope! All you have to do is contact me with your order number and your email address and I will send you the updated files.

No. Due to the digital nature of the products, refunds or exchanges are not possible. Please make sure the theme is what you’re looking for before purchasing – take a look at the demo and read through the features list. If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them.
